Bob Bryan, together with Samantha Stosur, beat brother Mike and Katarina Srebotnik to claim the Wimbledon mixed doubles title on Sunday night.
While Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer engaged in their titanic battle for the men's singles crown on Centre Court, Bryan and Stosur recorded a 7-5 6-4 victory over the top seeds on Court One.
The match had been due to be held on Centre Court, but the longest men's final in Wimbledon history meant it had to be switched over.
Bryan, from the US, and Australian doubles expert Stosur broke their opponents at the crucial point in the first set to take the advantage.
The unseeded pair then held their nerve to maintain their advantage and claim victory a matter of moments before the enclosing darkness would have extended the match into an extra day.
