A WTA title winner at just 15, Vaidisova made the quarter-finals here last year but has had all sorts of problems this term, largely due to a wrist injury. Ended a run of six straight defeats on the tour at Edgbaston recently but was then hammered in the last eight by Bethanie Mattek. Has teamed up with Tim Henman's former coach David Felgate to help her out of the slump but whether she can return to great heights at this year's Championships has to be in question.
